CMRC gets a remodel and new Fitness Equipment

The Clay Madsen Recreation Center was closed recently for updates to the hallway floors, gym floors, racquetball court floors, and logo refreshes. A new round of remodeling has begun this week as the cardio/weight room receives brand new flooring and state-of-the-art fitness equipment.

The old floor in the weight room was mostly carpet, which absorbed smells and liquids. The new flooring currently being installed is a recycled rubber fitness flooring that will be cleaner and easier to maintain. All of the old equipment that is currently in the weight room will be removed and replaced with uniform (same company, same brand) state-of-the-art equipment that will be easier for users to switch between during workout routines. The company will provide faster maintenance and will replace any irreparable machines with machines of the same model year or newer. The new fitness center is scheduled to open this Thursday, July 14.

Memberships to the Clay Madsen Recreation Center are a fraction of the cost of most chain or franchise fitness centers and include the unlimited use of the newly remolded fitness center, two full size gymnasiums, 6-lane 25 yard indoor lap pool, racquetball courts, game room, group exercise classes and more.

Residents may stay updated on this project and other construction projects around town, by visiting the Parks and Recreation blog that will be updated monthly on construction projects throughout the year.
