FREE "Movies in the Park" featuring "Puss in Boots" this Friday!

Round Rock Parks and Recreation presents FREE "Movies in the Park" events at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. Old Settlers Park is located at 3300 Palm Valley Boulevard (off of Harrell Park Way, behind the Dell Diamond).Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy these free family events at Lakeview Pavilion.

Pre-movie activities start at 7:30 p.m. and the movies start at dark.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets in order to comfortably enjoy the movie. Kona Ice will be available for guests.Enjoy games and trivia hosted by Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department.  Children can enjoy playing at the playground before the movie events. Bring a volleyball to play at the nearby courts or another outdoor ball or toy to enjoy prior to the movie.

Juneteenth Festival coming to Old Settlers Park!

“The Voice” Inc. and the City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department are joining forces again for the 4th annual Round Rock Juneteenth Rhythm and Ribs Celebration on Friday, June 15 (6:30 pm to 10:00 pm) and Saturday, June 16 (11:00 am to 10:00 pm) at the Rabb Pavilion in Old Settlers Park located at 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd. The event is FREE for the entire family!

The festivities begin on Friday, June 17 at 6:30 pm with a Night of Jazz. The celebration continues Saturday, June 16 at 11:00 am. The barbeque cook-off participants arrive at 8:00 am Saturday to receive ribs and cook until judging at 1:00 pm. At 12:00 pm, the opening welcome from the Round Rock City Council kicks off the day’s festivities.

The entertainment on Saturday includes the headliner Les and the Funk Mob.  Funk Mob will perform at 7:00pm! There will also be carnival rides, clowns, games, a car show, a health fair, food, retail vendors and much, much more!

Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the emancipation of slavery in the state of Texas. Today, Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom while encouraging self-development and respect for all cultures.

The Main Street Plaza is located next to City Hall at 221 East Main Street. Enjoy a LIVE musical perfomance by Unleashed at 7:30 p.m. before the movie begins.

Unleashed is a band of young musicians from Round Rock. They play and perform way above their years! Members range in age 12-15. They have been together since April 2010. They play classic and current hits from every generation! They perform regularly in venues and concert halls all over Central Texas.

Zumba Party at the Plaza this Friday Night!

It's time for a Party at the Plaza...a Zumba Party! Join us this Friday, May 18th at 6:00pm! Break away from the norm and come on down to the Sharon Prete Main Street Plaza to join in on this exciting celebration.

Zumba Party is a 2 hour workout party that will include Zumba fun and fitness. This Party at the Plaza will be packed full of fun, fitness, refreshments and door prizes. Take part in this awesome experience and see what Zumba is all about.

The party is May 18th at 6:00pm with check in beginning at 5:30pm.  Registration is $5 and will be $10 the day of the event.

FREE MudQuest Family Adventure this Saturday! Register Now!

Round Rock Parks & Recreation Department presents the FREE MudQuest Family Adventure. The MudQuest Family Adventure is a themed adventure run offering the entire family more obstacles, more mud and more fun than your average run event. WARNING: You will get muddy from head to toe if you want to conquer the MudQuest Family Adventure!

Join us for the MudQuest Family Adventure and Round Rock the Boat Regatta all in the same day!

Theme:
"Pirates of the Rock". Set your sails on Bright Lake, venture the course, Mud and Muck as your family conquers both events! Come dressed as a pirate and win prizes! For more information about Round Rock the Boat Regatta, visit the information page here.
