FREE Round Rock Youth Fishing Derby this Saturday!
The City of Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department presents the first annual Youth Fishing Derby from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, March 31, in Old Settlers Park at Bright Lake. The event is free but you must register at www.roundrockrecreation.com.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
There will be two age divisions in this catch and release derby:
Junior Division (ages 6-9)
Senior Division (ages 10-12)
Prizes Catagories (for each division)
Total Weight of Fish Caught
Number of Fish Caught
Largest Bass Caught
Event Schedule:
8:00 - 8:45 a.m.: Check In/Registration
9:00 - 9:15 a.m.: Derby Rules
9:30 - 11:30 a.m.: Fishing Derby
12 - 1:00 p.m.: Award Ceremony and snacks
